My Room My Playroom

Think of Chamrajpet, think of hustle and bustle around and think of the crowd, congestion and clogging.

Mr Jagadish had just bought an old charming house in Chamrajpet and renovated it completely for modern living with fresh new furniture and interior designing. However, in the whole process he had forgotten that his two sons, one 6 years and another 8, shall have no playground around. There were no parks nearby and Mr. Jagdish didn’t really consider games on computers healthy for his growing kids.

So, the only alternative that he could think of is to provide enough space inside his house – to be more precise, in his sons’ room. He also didn’t want his kids playing around affecting others living in the house.

Though he knew the solution in his head, he didn’t know how to make it happen… until he heard about Invisible Bed!

When he approached us with his problem, it didn’t take us much time to understand his expectations and build him a solution. We need add space to his sons’ room so that they have enough free area inside to play around, study, bring friends or do whatever they feel like without the congesting furniture around.

In other words, they needed furniture which would appear only when they need them and is invisible when they don’t. And as we talked about it in our last blog post – that’s exactly what we do!

See in these pictures, how the kids’ room was transformed by our ‘invisible bed’ and how spacious and functional we made the room.

Mr. Jagadish was more than ecstatic… the only thing he regretted is that had he known us before he would have got invisible beds for his bedroom as well.

Well… we would love to… :)

Living Space and Making it Multipurpose

How many times have you looked into your house and sighed, “Wish I had some more space to move around!” Or, perhaps, you wished you had one of those bigger apartments with fancy price tags, just so you had more space to entertain, to design your home with more breathing space, and may be, even have your own little gym at the corner, with enough space to spread your yoga mat and practice the art without hitting the furniture around.

Frustrating, right?

Well, we can’t agree more.

Now, wouldn’t it be exciting if we tell you that you can have furniture which appear only when you need them and is invisible when you don’t?
Hold On! it’s no magic at all, but a very cleaver innovation by the entrepreneur duo Prashanth and Kiran, who run a smart company called Future Décor aka Invisible Bed.
Ok, let’s explain how this works.

Invisible Bed uses a very efficient Hydraulics Lift Assist System (HLAS™), using which you can make your furniture – bed, table and shelf – disappear into the wall when you don’t need them, as easily as opening and closing a refrigerator door! Clever, right?

Now, here is an industry information for you to see how future focused Invisible Bed is.
Earlier, a 2BHK house occupied at least 1200 to 1400 SFT, but now it has shrunk to 500-800 SFT. While the space is shrinking, the furniture in the market is not, because you still need the same size of furniture to accommodate your needs. So while furniture sizes can’t be altered, Invisible Bed has found the smartest solution to fit them into the now smaller rooms. In other words they are reinventing the efficient usage of your living space irrespective of what size of apartment you live in.

Now that’s a great problem they are trying to solve.
