Saanvi's Superman Dad

Saanvi Bankapur is a very lucky girl. She is all of 4 years old and like every girl of her age, loves to play with her collection of dolls along with her friend next door. However, as is the problem with most urban living, allowing the little ones with a space of their own is quite a fanciful thinking for lot of parents.

Not so for Mr. Sachin -  Saanvi’s father; and that’s why we called her a lucky little girl 
Sachin lives in a 3 Bedroom apartment in Whitefield with his 4 member family. While Saanvi is too young to have her own bedroom yet, Sachin had converted one of his smaller bedrooms into a guestroom. However, he also had other plans for this guest room.
He decided that since the guestroom will only be occupied when he is hosting guests, the rest of the time when it is mostly vacant it can very well double up as his daughter’s playroom. So once he made up his mind on this, he now had to give her daughter enough space in the room to play which wouldn’t be possible with a bulky bed and other traditional furniture.

As they say, “If you can think of it, you can have it.” And so, InvisibleBed happened to him.
Saluting Mr. Sachin for being the true Superman Dad for his little daughter.

Take a look at how his small 10x10 bedroom now gives so much space and converts into Saanvi’s playroom.

Champion Chandrika

“I was fascinated by the space-savers used around the world which helps to utilize a space more efficiently in urban apartments where having all things will come with a cost of cluttering your home leaving with small space to move around.” says Mrs. Chandrika Chan.

Chandrika knew about the ways the world lives where living spaces are shrinking everyday due to growing prices and paucity of space. Chandrika’s 2BHK apartment on Harlur Road, gave her a 14 x 12 bedroom which she didn’t want to clutter with the conventional furniture that occupies most of the space. She not only wanted her freedom of movement, but also to make her bedroom more functional.

“I was looking for space savers in India for a while for furnishing our home. Thanks to Futur Décor, I got the perfect solution in the form of invisiblebed.”

Thank you Chandrika, for giving us this opportunity to help you convert your bedroom into something which you always dreamt of. You are the Champion of our cause and we wish you all the best for your life.

The Heroes in Our Life

Who would you call a Pioneer?

As Albert Einstein says it so succinctly, “The person who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The person who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever seen before.”

In our daily interactions with people, we see such pioneers – who have gone against the normal or the regular and has shown courage and conviction to do something different or accept change with open arms. We call them our “Heroes”.

We know we are in a business which is not conventional, which many people do not understand and many others think it’s away ahead of its time. Perhaps. But we can’t also deny the fact that we have had customers and well wishers who have not only embraced our thoughts and products enthusiastically, but have also referred us to many others. They are our “Heroes” – because they have shown faith in our beliefs and became pioneers in their own way.

For the last three weeks we have been showcasing such Heroes. And today’s story is no different.
Here is the story of Mrs. Denet Pradeep and her 12 year old daughter, Leah.

Denet lives in a 2BHK apartment at Adarsh Hills, Kumarswamy Layout with her family of 4. As we had mentioned in our first blog, the sizes of apartments diminishing these days, her daughter ended up with a 10x10 room which also doubles up as her husband’s gym!
We don’t have to elaborate the chaos and clutter that happened with this arrangement… the picture, here, says it all.

However, Denet is not someone who will look at a problem and forget about it. She took the situation at home heads on and started looking for space saving options over the internet, and then stumbled upon our Facebook page. The rest, as they say, is history :) Mrs. Denet Pradeep turned out to be the real hero for her family.
Here is what happened after Invisible Bed.

Legos, Books and Soft Toys...

Who doesn’t like cuddly soft toys, lego blocks, carom boards and other toys and games particularly if you are say 6 or 10 years old? And what good it is, if you always have to stuff them in an almirah? And oh! what about studying when you are not playing?
Can you imagine the nightmare parents go through arranging their kid’s room making it perfect for both play as well study? And what happens when you have two kids at home? A cluttered room, over stuffed shelves, study table stuck somewhere in an awkward position that takes most of the available space after whatever is left with two beds for your kids! Sheer disaster!

Hello! Even kids needs space. They need a space they can be proud of, a space which essentially belongs to them and reflects their personalities. After all, a cluttered space is known to influence negatively the minds of the people who live in such a place; and kids definitely need better influence.

This is the problem our client Mr Arun and his wife faced at their 3BHK upscale UKn apartment at Old Airport Road. They have two children – a boy who is 10 and a girl who is just 6 years old. Both the children share a room. But you can imagine that with a boy and a girl and their ages, the toys, games, study requirements are entirely different. If the boy wants to play the carom, the girl definitely wants to build a house with her lego blocks!
When Mr. Arun came to us at Invisible Bed with his problem, we realized that not only we have to make enough space for both his kids to play with their respective games / toys, we also have to make enough space for them to study. So, we did this:
Designed for them their respective invisible beds, as well as an invisible table max, which doubles up as a storage unit as well.

We are now delighted seeing these children so happy in their own special room :)

Girish and His Daughter's Keyboard

This is the story of a little girl who loved to play keyboards. However, as we regularly face in our homes, space was the problem. Think about a girl who wants to desperately learn, play and enjoy keyboard at every single free moment of her otherwise completely occupied life, but neither does she have a place to practice nor can she keep moving from one place to another every time she has to lay her hand on her favourite instrument.
When there were no solutions in sight, Prashanth and his team at Invisible Bed came up with a simple solution -  make the child’s room spacious enough to convert it into her music room with invisible bed – by making her bed appear only when she need it and invisible when they don’t.

Girish and her daughter now has a dedicated room that caters to child’s need anytime she wants at their Whitefield apartment.
Play on dear girl, who knows perhaps you are our Mozart in the making J
